Dinacharya starts from the morning in order to maintain connection to the circadian rhythm. So, let’s see the step- by-step procedure that one should follow.

Wakeup early in the morning. Ayurveda suggest, one should wakeup in the brahma muhurtha (around 5am) by this time the atmosphere is in its complete calm mood.  Brush your teeth, clean your tongue, this will help you in eliminating bad breath, toxins and stimulates the taste buds. Next is oil pulling. Swishing oil through the teeth is good for complete oral health. It strengthens the gums, good for teeth, and clinically good for the condition called TMJ.

Karna poorana (ear drops) can be done in both ears to maintain overall health of your ears. You can practice yoga and pranayama in the morning time. Which will build strength in both body and mind.  Finally slip into the shower. Use natural loofah and exfoliate the dead cell using natural ayurvedic scrubs. You can use green gram powder, sandal powder etc instead on chemical soaps. 

Daily routine in Dinacharya 

Start your day with balanced breakfast. Do not skip breakfast as it says it is brain food. It should be fresh, light and healthy. 10 am to 2pm is said to be pitta time, when your digestive fire will be high. So, it is the time to take your largest meal of the day.  During this time avoid exposure to sunlight, avoid vigorous physical activities, sleep etc. evening time vata will be more. This time one can consume herbal tea, and it is better to avoid coffee because it aggravates vata again. Mild exercises, walk etc can be done during this time. Next hours is for kapha. For dinner one should consume light and small quantity of food. After that it is advised to brush the teeth and clean the oral cavity. Later in night be in bed by 10pm at least. Do not use mobiles, tv, laptops etc. sleep in a comfortable bed.
